Yuki O'Connor is an Irish-Japanese historian and novelist born in 1985 and raised between Sapporo and Cork. She studied early modern British and Irish history at Trinity College Dublin and completed postgraduate work in archival studies at the University of Tokyo before joining the National Archives in Kew from 2011 to 2016. Her essays on carceral architecture and the politics of surveillance have appeared in small journals and museum catalogues. She lives in Dublin, where she teaches community courses on historical research and volunteers with urban preservation groups.
