Georgina H. Beck writes character-driven science fiction about work, memory, and machines. Raised in Nova Scotia and Manila, she studied software engineering at McGill University and human-computer interaction at the University of Washington. She worked at a satellite imaging startup and later at a maritime robotics lab before moving to Glasgow, where she teaches prototyping and narrative design. Her short fiction has appeared in Clarkesworld, Fireside, and Translunar Travelers Lounge, and her essays on interface culture have run in small-press venues. A 2018 Clarion West graduate and a 2021 Nommo Award finalist, she restores vintage telescopes and experiments with sourdough when she should be sleeping.
