Lisa Brown is an American illustrator, author, and cartoonist whose work spans picture books, graphic novels, and literary comics. She created the YA graphic novel The Phantom Twin (First Second, 2020) and wrote and illustrated The Airport Book. Her long-running strip "Three Panel Book Review" has appeared in newspapers and online, distilling classic and contemporary literature into three brisk panels.
Brown has illustrated several books by Lemony Snicket, including The Latke Who Couldn't Stop Screaming and Goldfish Ghost. She teaches illustration at California College of the Arts and lives in San Francisco, where she regularly visits classrooms and libraries to advocate for literacy and visual storytelling.
