Seamus Smith

Smith, Seamus is an Irish-born suspense writer who grew up in Galway and studied journalism at Trinity College Dublin. After moving to the United States in his twenties, he worked the crime beat in Providence and Boston, reporting from courtrooms, fire scenes, and overnight shifts that taught him how people lie—and why. He later earned an MFA from Emerson College and began writing fiction set along the New England coast. His short work has appeared in regional journals and been featured at crime-writing festivals in Rhode Island and Maine. He lives in Portland, Maine, where he volunteers with a maritime search-and-rescue group and walks a retired greyhound along the Eastern Promenade.
