Patrick Clayton is a British writer and former museum night custodian from North Yorkshire. He studied folklore and sound design at the University of Leeds and later worked in heritage conservation along the North Sea coast, cataloguing churches and maritime relics that shaped his fascination with place and memory. His coastal horror stories have appeared in small-press magazines and anthologies, and his novella Salt Glass was shortlisted for the British Fantasy Award in 2021. He lives in York with his partner and an aging whippet, and volunteers with a bell restoration charity.
