Desmond Lee

Desmond Lee is a Malaysian American novelist and former investigative producer. Born in Penang in 1983, he immigrated to the United States as a teenager and studied linguistics and computer science at the University of Washington. He spent a decade as an OSINT analyst and later a segment producer for a public radio program focused on technology and secrecy. His reporting on small-town corruption and industrial disasters informs his fiction. He lives in Seattle, where he volunteers with a newsroom mentorship program and tinkers with vintage shortwave radios.
