He spent a decade as an OSINT analyst and later a segment producer for a public radio program focused on technology and secrecy. His reporting on small-town corruption and industrial disasters informs his fiction. He lives in Seattle, where he volunteers with a newsroom mentorship program and tinkers with vintage shortwave radios.
